Recognize the use of perfect verb phrases in sentences
The perfect tenses describe actions which are complete. They have past, present and future forms and require an auxiliary verb to make them sound complete, even if they are going to be completed in the future. In the past or present cases, this requires the words has, have or had, while in the future perfect tense will have is used. In this exercise, the student must identify the perfect tense verb phrase out of each sentence and optionally tell which of the three tenses is used.
