Develop skills in working with binary numbers

This is a multiple-skill worksheet for students who will be studying low-level computer science topics. Understanding the binary representation of integer values and bitwise operations such as AND, OR and XOR are valuable when working with some languages and network technologies. You can select from up to four skill tasks to include on the worksheet. Each will be presented as a table to be completed by the student. The use of calculators should be allowed, especially for the fourth task which requires the calculation of a base 2 logarithm.
