Develop combined operations skills
When students are learning how to perform basic math operations, they tend to focus on the numbers rather than the operation sign. A student who is able to quickly and correctly solve an entire worksheet of just one type of operation will usually make many mistakes when those operations are mixed on the same page. Usually, they continue to perform the same operation after the sign has already changed.
This worksheet mixes all types of operations to give the student practice in switching between each of the four operations. We recommend using relatively low maximum parameter values so that the problems are easy and the student can be more aware of sign switches.
