Deserts

A Grade 6 Reading Skill Resource

When you imagine a desert, you likely picture a hot place with dry sand dunes and not much else. That is one kind of desert, but there are other kinds as well. The definition of a desert is a place that gets very little precipitation, or water falling from the sky. So deserts do not actually need to be hot or sandy. The climate just needs to be dry.
